The BikeBot Case: A Journey Towards Justice
2017
The BikeBot Scheme
Garvit Innovative Promoters Limited (GIPL) launched the BikeBot scheme as a bike-taxi investment model. Investors were invited to invest in bikes that were to be operated by the company, with promised monthly returns and other incentives.
2018–2019
Payments Begin to Stop
The company continued collecting investments and making repayments until early 2019. As promised returns stopped or became irregular, investors began approaching the authorities and filing complaints.
2019–2021
Investigations & Legal Proceedings
Multiple FIRs were registered against GIPL, its promoters and others. The Enforcement Directorate initiated a money-laundering investigation, and the matter subsequently saw investigations and proceedings before different authorities, including the CBI.
2023
Insolvency Proceedings Begin
The NCLT Allahabad Bench admitted insolvency proceedings against Garvit Innovative Promoters Limited on 16 February 2023, initiating the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP).
2025–Present
Liquidation & The Fight for Recovery
The company entered liquidation in October 2025, with Mr. Nirmal Kumar Bhesoni appointed as Liquidator. IBBI records list BikeBot investors among the stakeholders and record claims submitted by investors.
Where We Stand Today
The legal and insolvency processes are continuing. Public Justice Social Welfare Society has been created to bring affected BikeBot investors together on one platform, keep members informed, strengthen collective representation and work through lawful means towards recovery of investors' dues.
